We interviewed people attending the TS²* – The Trade Show
About Trade Shows® in Chicago to find out their expectations and goals
when attending an event. Watch this video to hear for yourself
what they told us.
Attendees expect exhibit staff to:
Make visitors feel welcome in the booth
Show interest in being in the booth and in each visitor
Ask questions and listen carefully to each person's specific needs
before responding
Be knowledgeable about the products and services
Provide specific steps to follow up after the event
Attendees are turned off when exhibit staff:
Talks on the phone or stands in a group talking while a visitor approaches the booth
Launches into a sales pitch or a demo before finding out
about the visitor's interests
Doesn't listen
Stays on their own agenda instead of focusing on the visitor's concerns
Uses aggressive sales tactics
Creative Training Solutions offers interactive, customizable trade show training courses to teach your employees how
to do the things attendees expect and avoid those that drive them away.
